Charlene Mary Coulombe-Fiore works day-to-day as a Consultant for several clients, where her tasks consist of economic development, negotiating and closing deals. Ms. Coulombe-Fiore has worked with several communities including the Village of North Aurora, Illinois; Cicero, Illinois; Machesney Park, Illinois; and Bolingbrook, Illinois where she averaged 3 million square feet of development each year. While working with the Village of North Aurora, Ms. Coulombe-Fiore has closed on two loans and saved the community's federal funding while creating numerous marketing pieces.
Previously Charlene worked with the City of Northfield, Minnesota as an Economic Development Manager, working on bringing business to the community and running the EDA/HRA Office. Essentially, all her efforts were geared towards the creation of a business friendly environment. She successfully brought a major employer/company into a vacant parcel of land in the city and assisted staff on Housing HRA to bring programs and buy land. Additionally, she helped fund a series of projects and created a toll box for the community to entice business development. Charlene Mary Coulombe-Fiore has many years of education to draw upon. She first attended the College of DuPage, where she studied for her Associate degree in Travel and Tourism, earning her degree with high honors. Later, she changed her focus to matters of economics, attending National Development Council to obtain a degree in Economic Development Finance, thus becoming a Certified Economic Development Professional. Ms. Coulombe-Fiore then matriculated at the University of Oklahoma to continue her studies in all aspects of Economic Development. Ms. Coulombe-Fiore began her professional career in the banking industry at Continental Bank in Chicago, Illinois. She began as a Teller, progressing to the role of Senior Teller, then Supervisor, then Customer Service, and finally to personal banking. In the end, she built a sales marketing team to sell lending products and provided training to over 60 tellers and the bank's sales team as the Sales Manager. Today Charlene is currently seeking a full time position to assist clients and developers/government when not working on a specific contract or deal. |
